Update - Week 6

Conference Call Hub Page and page on this blog are up and 4 backlink articles are up with 2 more prepared and ready to go out after some editing. I have Kontera and Amazon's Associates accounts up and running and also am now as of this morning receiving help from a Google Pro on getting my account up and running. My Hub Pages are continuing to draw 1 or 2 visitors a day from Google search results which is promising but not ideal. Therefore, I'm planning on expanding my backlinking over the coming weeks. First, I'm looking to get 20 backlinks for Conference calls over the next couple weeks and then I'll work on getting 10 more for conference tables.

Ranking: Not yet showing in top 100 for my 4 primary keywords. The conference table hub page does rank first for it's title.

Update - Week 5

I am about to post my Conference Call Hub Page (just got to go back and edit it). After wards I will rewrite it and post the hopefully improved version here at Conference Solutions. I will then continue writing support articles for both of these main articles in order to gain front page ranking. I am continuing to receive traffic for long tail keywords and am now registering backlinks under Hub Page's stat monitoring system. I'm planning on getting out 10 support articles this week which should significantly boost my ranking as my pages continue to age. I've been distracted with another project that had a huge potential over the past couple weeks but now that it looks like it will fall through I will be back to focusing on this case study.

Update - Week 4

Beginning of week 4 and the hubpage and the page on this site now have 6 backlinks each. I do not yet have statistics up for this site but the hubpage is drawing traffic for long tail keywords which is a good sign. Interestingly, I saw a couple of the support articles which looking at the rankings for some of the long tail keywords which shows the strength of some of those sites. Not ranking to report yet, but the site and the backlinks continue to age so it should be only a matter of time. I also intend to expand onto conference call systems this week which will help to strengthen this overall page.

Update - 1 Week

1 week in and I've not made as much progress as I've hoped for. I've gotten distracted and a little behind. I have posted my main article about conference tables and written and submitted two support articles through postrunner as well as done a complete rewrite and posted it on Hubpages. One of my support articles has been posted but hasn't been indexed yet and probably will not be indexed soon due to the set up of the site (something I need to start checking before I send out the articles). As of now, I don't rank in the top 100 for any of my keywords. On to the second week!

Welcome to Conference Table and Conference Call Solutions

As part of a personal experiment, I'm going to try and take this free blog page and establish a Google top ten search ranked website on the topics of conference calls and conference tables. Being a personal experiment, I don't intend to fill this site with advertisements without meaningful content in an attempt to make a quick buck. Although if this site does become ranked, I won't pass up the opportunity to put up a Adsense or Amazon ad, my intention is to gain front page ranking through providing meaningful and valuable content to the reader.

Method

I will attempt to gain a front page ranking by first writing a series of articles about the types and considerations when investing in a conference table or a conference call system. I will also write shorter summaries of those articles and attempt to use them to build backlinks to improve my authority. I will not use any automated writers or link exchanges. All of my content will be 100% original and I intend to write at least 5 articles a week for the next 3 to 4 weeks.

Progress Measurements

In order to measure the progress of this experiment, I will check every Sunday and determine my page rank for the following 4 keywords: Conference Call, Conference Calls, Conference Table, Conference Tables.
